Dr Yan Zong

Yan received his B.Eng. degree with First Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2016 and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020, both from Northumbria University, U.K. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, and also a part-time postdoc at Purple Mountain Laboratories, China. He previously held a research fellow position at Cranfield University, U.K. (2021–2022).

His research interests span across multiple disciplines, including communications, control and AI, with a focus on wireless timing (such as 6G, UWB and ZigBee), air traffic networks and aerial swarms.
